Over time, heating systems can develop dirty water that can damage boilers causing sludge to build up within pipes and radiators. Signs that you may need a Power Flush can be cold areas on radiators, noise from boilers and pumps and discoloured water when you bleed the radiators. It is also necessary to carry out a Power Flush when you are connecting a new boiler onto an old system so that the boiler isn’t damaged by the pollutants already in the system.
Powerflushing is a cleaning process that removes sludge and any other debris from the central heating system. The overall aim is to restore the full circulation of water.
How it works
A powerful high flow low pressure pumping unit will be connected to either the circulation pump on a regular boiler or the pump head on a combination or system boiler. When in use the system will be flushed through using high strength chemicals leaving an inhibitor to prevent the build up of further sludge.
- Reduces energy bills
- Restores temperatures of radiators
- Reduces boiler noise
- Increases efficiency
